A good friend of ours within Fjord helped our studio with some work and around that same time received a promotion. We have this tradition in our Fjord Austin studio where when we finish a project we make a custom skateboard deck to give to every team member on the project. We also like to make them as gifts for people we work with or clients as well. I designed this deck when I had a little free time between projects to give to our COO Owen. He's a super cool guy and we just wanted to show our appreciation. During the time I made this we were designing some studio swag that was in the rad 90's style so I went with it and just used that style for this deck. I'm really happy with how it turned out and always jump at the opportunity to do some illustration between UI work.
